Beer pong is a drinking game that has been favored by many for a long time. Its common goal is to throw a ping pong ball across a table with the intent of landing the ball in a cup that's normally filed with beer located on the opposite side. Normally, the game consists of two teams of two, competing to see who can eliminate the opponent's cups first. By more common rules, the loser has to drink the winning teams remaining cups and the winner is allowed to move on to the next round.
Beer pong rules vary greatly., one of the most common rules that are changed is the number of cups used. Although no official rules exist, the basic concept still stays intact during game play. There are a number of cups usually ranging from 3-15 on each side shaped in a triangle. The number of players on a team can vary as well, from one to three or more. Normally when both players on one team make a cup, that team gets to take another turn in attempt to make more cups.
Overall, the skills required for this game includes good aiming, taunting skills and alcohol tolerance. Time of play can be as fast as a few minutes (this would require perfect aim and possibly semi-sober individuals playing) to over 20 minutes. Of course by following national laws, one would need to be of legal drinking age to compete in this game…however the idea of following this law escapes students in college and High school. I for one won my first game at the early age of 16. :)
